Inspection may be eligible for up to $1,200 in repair assistance, provided the vehicle would be repaired in a STAR repair-and-test station. On the other hand, those who own 1976 to 1995 car models may qualify for car repair assistance funds worth $900.

Job Access And Reverse Commute (JARC) Program

The Job Access And Reverse Commute Program is a state-funded project that helps residents of rural areas with car repairs. This initiative provides funding assistance for tire and brake pad replacements and free auto repair services for common electrical and mechanical issues. 

Car Repair Grant

COVID-19 pandemic-affected families who need to repair or maintain their vehicles are eligible for a Car Repair Grant. This project offers one-time grants to families requiring a vehicle for their work or job hunt.

Those who qualify for car repair grants must submit an estimated amount for the car repair services they wish to avail. Once the necessary documents are submitted, and the estimated amount is approved, repair and maintenance can begin. 

Qualified applicants can receive a maximum vehicle repair grant of up to $1,000, which will be paid directly to the car repair shop.
